James L. Fitzgerald - James L. Fitzgerald
James L. Fitzgerald jest indologiem na Brown University . Studiował na Uniwersytecie w Chicago , uzyskując tytuł licencjata w 1971 r., Tytuł magistra sanskrytu w 1974 r. I doktorat. w sanskrycie i cywilizacji południowoazjatyckiej w 1980 roku. W Chicago studiował głównie u JAB van Buitenena . Od 1978 Fitzgerald dołączył do Wydziału Religioznawstwa na Uniwersytecie Tennessee . W 2007 roku został mianowany Purandara Das Distinguished Professor of sanskrit na Wydziale Klasycznym Uniwersytetu Browna.
Głównym zainteresowaniem badawczym Fitzgeralda był wielki indyjski epos sanskrycki, Mahabharata , patrz Mahabharata .
