Vietnamese "Police"

Hi there, I appreciate your contribution in 2023 V.League 1. However, in Vietnam, our language regulations tend to translate "Công An" accurately as "Public Security", and "Police" is for the other word "Cảnh Sát". Police, is in fact, used as a part of the Public Security force, for example, Special Police and Mobile (Riot) Police are considered subsidiaries of Public Security, and the word Public Security itself is used for "casual" police that is called as...Public Security/Công An. Public Security and Police are technically the different things, and you may not understand it since you aren't SRV citizen.
Besides that, the preceding team "Công An Nhân Dân FC" is translated as People's Public Security FC, corresponding to its parent Vietnam People's Public Security. When the team changed its name to "Công An Hà Nội" lit. 'Public Security, Hanoi branch', "Public Security" is a much better translation.
Besides that, using the whole name Vietnamese "Cong an Ha Noi" is not also a bad choice, and the team's even used it as the official English name instead of translate it into "Police" or "Public Security". You can have a look at their Facebook page

Public Security vs Police of Vietnam

Hi there, you earlier mentioned that "Police" is the "standard" name for "Public Security" in Vietnam. However, "Công An" and "Cảnh sát" is different: [2] (if you can't understand Vietnamese, well...)
Besides that, I know you are being reasonable citing sources mentioning "Hanoi Police", especially this one comes from the Ministry of Public Security. However, I don't know if you are familiar with this but...the MPS does make faulty & inapproriate English translation all the time. They basically have bad editors.
